Deeply smitten by黄星魁 [click to know more about him] and his music!
Just finish watching Superband and did not have much anticipation about the Singapore band-Hong Mao Pai (direct translation--{Ang Moh Style} but they call themselves Timmy!). But... I was really... really... absorbed into their performance! Well Done, man!
The lead singer, also one of the guitarists, gave me the deepest impression from the 3-5 minutes performance. His expressions were like really annoying and worth beating[欠奏]! LOL! But those were naturally shown out to match the song. Anyway, side-track a little, he's quite a good-looking chap! haha =D
During the short interview by the host on the band, I heard the host called him Xing Kui [星魁]! And I paused quite awhile... I thought I've heard that name on radio before! I heard Huang Xing Kui [黄星魁] before! Hmm... I doubt anyone else will have such an unique name other than him.
Also, when I first heard that name, I just 'briskly' that he must be some UNCLE singing Hokkien theme songs for Royston Tan's movie like 881 and 12 lotus!!! REALLY!! But now... WAH! He's like a youngster! Maybe I shoudn't generalize anymore!
Or izit, like what Passage B of my GP assessment says-- No high or overly-positive anticiaption will, thus, not lead to disappointment at the end of the day?
Henceforth, did a search on youtube just now. And wow! Found out different 'faces' of him! Embed below, enjoy! =)
^ 'Touch people's heart' part of Ngak
^A series of English songs by Ngak [黄星魁] @ Timbre [he's singing there every friday!] COOL!
^疼傻人 by Carrie 杨佳盈@ Max Pavillion [nice song] Ngak looks like...
maybe bcos of their hair...
^A passing comment, don't generalize about his not-so-serious looks! Looks can be deceiving! Cos he's going to be a Dad very soon! Shocked me when I heard his news!!! ^He's not Ngak!
ALL in ALL, support Timmy! and Ngak!!! Support LOCAL music!

TEAM SINGAPORE!
VICTORY!
CHEERS! TEAM SINGAPORE!
Well Done, Paddlers! Feng Tian Wei, Li Jia Wei and Wang Yue Gu! Credits to the coach-- Hu G D too! =) Hurray!
Watched the matches in college canteen with quite a few MJCians.. We cheered for them when they scored and when they make mistakes. The South Korea Girls did a very good job as well, especially Park Mi-young:She has got very well-trained defence tactics displayed when she was playing against Feng, during the last match which determines the team to the finals against either Hong Kong or China.
^Kim Kyung-ah beat Li Jia Wei.
^Fortunately, Li Jia Wei 'allied' with Wang Yue Gu and won the South Koreans in the doubles later.
However, it seems pretty meaningless for Singapore to fight against China since Singapore's team is made up of all talents from China. If China is to win and enter finals, it just show that China women's table tennis skills are the best out of the best-- occupying the top two positions of Olympic and World Best.
What a dilemma... To support the Singapore team that is made up of non-Singaporeans, anyway.
Hmmm...

A DAY OF TRUE LIFE
I saw many scenes today. LIFE AND DEATH! Doubt anyone understand what that means, so let me them down.
1) On the way to college this morning, I saw a dead toad/frog near the traffic. There's blood... and it's pretty squashed... ermmm... shall not be too descriptive.... =D
2) Watched Sepat in LT 4. It's a malaysian-made movie on romance between a chinese man and a malay woman. Anyway, the panal-discussion teachers insist that we know that there are more to just that. Some social cohesion lessons and importance of maintaining racial harmony. Anyway, the thing is that the ending was damn abrupt (maybe because there's a sequel called Gubra?) and the ending was an accident scene!
3) Went to E!hub to have lunch with Auntie Lim, Shi En, Siew Li, Jing Wei, Pek Fa and Michelle came ltr. We ate at Pasta mania. Hahaha! Seem to be stalking bindy and muthu becos I saw them in the bus and at Pasta mania once again! LOL! Nwae, I ate Chessy Chicken Salsiccia, just cheesy chicken sausage and pasta! SPICY! My fav!
kay, here is it... While exiting E!hub, there was a stairs... While we're walking down leisurely, a malay girl just happen to (maybe tripped/ didn't balance well...) roll down the stairs! OMG!
My reaction was... stunned... Didn't know what to do at all so me and ade stood there stunned. I meant it! Luckily, her friends ran over to help her out quickly. She felt very malu (embarrassed). Hope she's alright. But... just a casual comment, either she's very light in weight or what because she roll down soundlessly!
4) I was on my way back. Walked at my usual speed out of the control station, past the shops such as Baleno and Q- bread and heading to the interchange. While walking along Ta Zhiang, saw a few school girls standing (stunned and didn't know what to do except for one girl ateemptingto help) around their classmate who seem unwell, squart-ed down and hid her face, immobile. A kind grandma walked over to see if she could help.
5) Was boarding the bus and I saw a pair of parent struggling to help their son (I believe is their son) up the bus. Their son is a mentally disabled child. He can't seem to speak properly, walk and maybe is unaware of his surroundings.
During the journey, the son was "trembled" a little and made some sound. His father: " Relax! Relax..." and try to settle him down and prevent him from falling off his seat.
I felt that the father is the most caring man then. And the mother, although she looks pale, weak and exhausted, she's the most beautiful and the most noble women (besides my mother).
It must have been so difficult for the family with disabled members in the house to take care of.
The documentary that we watched during GP was so real and ... (fill in the blanks)
